If you are looking for something to blow these 'winter off season blues' away, then the Royal Hotel in Cookstown may provide the solution on the Saturday13th February 2010.
An action pack day is organized and it all kicks off with piping, drumming and bass and tenor seminars from early morning to mid afternoon. The piping tutor will be Stuart Liddell from Inveraray Pipe Band. Drumming tutor will be Gordon Brown from Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band. Bass tutor will be John McFetridge from Cookstown former Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band and the tenor tutor will be Stephen McQuillan from Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band. Anyone interested in being tutored by these world class artists please come along. Times etc will be available at a later date
After the seminar in the early evening the 2010 Celtic Thistle Solo Tenor Drumming Championships will take place at the same venue. Judges for this will again be Stephen McQuillan, John McFetridge and also John Dunne.
